[perfect/old_site/_private/logo.htm]
[perfect/old_site/_private/navbar.htm]There are many plumbing
problems that plague Costa Rica. It is typical to smell sewer gas in your home
or business here It is the common practice in Costa Rica to never put toilet
paper in the toilet. The pipes size and pitch cannot handle it. The mechanics of
piping must be perfect to assure that your piping system will always work. This
is not an area of your home that can be repaired and remodeled later. In Costa
Rica most floors are between 4 and 6 inches thick in concrete and rebar. You
will rarely see clean-outs and vent stacks in Tico construction, it is
not considered. Should a drain become plugged you will probably
need to tear out the tiles and floor to repair it. Most plumbing
problems are simply tolerated, because it is nearly impossible to
repair.
